By Whom, How & Why was the survey created?
How We Created This Survey & Who Will Hear It
By 2050 Utah’s population will nearly double. Governor Herbert asked us to work with hundreds of experts to create this survey. The results of the survey will lead to a vision for Utah’s future. That vision will be used by policymakers, local governments, businesses, developers, and the public to make sure we all know how to shape the Utah we all want in 2050.
400 Members
We worked with 400 task force members—experts in their fields from all over the state—to determine the choices.
18 Months
This survey was built based on extensive public participation—through values studies, meetings, and online input—to identify what matters most to Utahns.
11 Topics
This led to the 11 issues covered in the scenarios, the choices we have, and the outcomes we face.
